Jim Roberts has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience starting his career with The Swearingen Company in Dallas, Texas as a real estate broker. Three years later Roberts was made partner of the firm and finally served as President of the company along with his other duties of brokerage service. Some of these would include the listing and selling of office buildings, farms and ranches, warehouses, retail shopping centers and stand alone retail buildings to name a few. Other activities while there included representing tenants in search of office space and the management and leasing of office and office tech buildings.
In 2001 Roberts sold his interest in The Swearingen Company and joined Henry S. Miller Commercial as Senior Vice President. This commercial brokerage company is the largest independent real estate company in the state of Texas. After 5 years Roberts opened his own brokerage company, Jim Roberts Commercial, where he has become more involved in the planning, sales, and development process of his family’s real estate properties located in Longview, Texas. Along with that Roberts brokers land and improved properties in the Longview metropolitan area.
